Biomining is emerging as a sustainable solution for the reclamation of legacy waste-in dumped sites, offering a dual benefit of waste management and resource recovery. Integral to this process is the utilization of trommels, specialized machinery designed for the efficient segregation of waste materials. These trommels sift through the legacy waste, separating valuable components suitable for bioming from non-recoverable residues. Among the recovered material, Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) stands out as a valuable resource, often derived to cement factories, waste to energy plant as a alternative fuel. Other fractions like C&D and Inert will be sent to low lying area for land developements.

This symbiotic relationship between biomining and waste disposal not only facilitates the remediation of contaminated sites but also contributes to the circular economy by repurposing waste as a resource. By harnessing technology and innovative approaches, biomining not only addresses environmental concerns associated with legacy waste but also presents opportunities for sustainable resource utilization in industrial processes.
